Terms of Use

Effective Date: August 1, 2024

Last Updated: July 11, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Maple Med Global website and services, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or submit any personal information.

2. Nature of Our Services

Maple Med Global (MMG Medical Tourism Inc.) is a medical travel coordination company based in Toronto, Canada.

We connect patients with internationally accredited hospitals and licensed physicians abroad. Our role is coordination.

What we do:

  • Forward your medical file to partner hospitals

  • Present the treatment proposal prepared by the partner hospital

  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, transfers, and visa documentation

  • Provide communication and support throughout the process

What we do not do:

  • Clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment

  • Determine your eligibility for treatment

  • Provide medical advice

All medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and eligibility decisions are made solely by the independent licensed physicians at our partner hospitals. Any treatment proposal we present to you is prepared by the medical team at the partner hospital and reflects their assessment.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Information on this website and in our communications is provided for informational purposes only and should not be interpreted as medical advice.

Medical opinions, diagnoses, and treatment decisions are made exclusively by qualified healthcare professionals.

You should always seek advice from your own physician before making any medical decision or undergoing treatment.

Maple Med Global is not liable for any outcome, complication, or result arising from treatment decisions made by patients or by third party medical providers.

4. Treatment Proposals and Pricing

Treatment proposals are structured as packages and include the items expressly listed in the proposal document. These typically include the hospital treatment fee, hospital stay, accommodation, airport transfers, interpretation, and coordination.

Items not included in a package are stated expressly in each proposal. These typically include international flights, personal expenses, additional medications, and any accommodation beyond the period specified.

Each proposal has a validity date. Prices may change after that date.

Prices are quoted in USD. Payments made to Maple Med Global are processed in Canadian dollars at the Bank of Canada exchange rate applicable on the payment date.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is made in two stages.

Pre-travel payment. To confirm your accommodation, transfers, hospital arrangements, and complication insurance where applicable, a pre-travel payment is made to Maple Med Global's Canadian bank account in Canadian dollars. The amount is stated in each proposal.

Balance payment. The remaining amount is paid directly to the treating hospital upon your arrival. Maple Med Global does not collect this payment.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Within 48 hours of the payment date: the pre-travel payment is refunded in full.

After 48 hours: any non-refundable costs already incurred on your behalf are deducted, and the remaining amount is refunded. These costs may include accommodation, hospital reservation fees, complication insurance, and transfer arrangements.

All refunds are processed in Canadian dollars, the currency of payment, based on the amount received. Subsequent changes in the exchange rate do not affect the refund amount.

Payments made directly to a hospital are subject to that hospital's own cancellation policy.

7. Complication Insurance

Complication insurance is not included in every package. It is included as standard in some packages and offered as an optional addition in others. Whether it is included in your package is stated expressly in your proposal document.

Complication insurance is arranged on your behalf through a third party insurance provider. Coverage, exclusions, duration, and limits are governed by the official terms of the insurance policy. Maple Med Global is not an insurer and is not responsible for the outcome of an insurance claim.

8. Data Collection and Use

How we collect, use, store, and share your personal and medical information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Health information is sensitive personal information and requires your express consent. Consent is obtained through the consent boxes on our website forms and, at the coordination stage, through separate written consent.

We may contact you by email, telephone, or messaging applications to coordinate your case, confirm details, or provide updates.

9. International Coordination

Our network includes partner hospitals and medical professionals across the 24 destinations where we operate.

All international providers are independent entities. They are not employees, representatives, or agents of Maple Med Global.

We act as an intermediary to facilitate communication and coordination between patients and healthcare institutions.

10. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Medical or surgical outcomes

  • Errors or omissions by third party healthcare providers

  • Clinical decisions, treatment plans, or eligibility assessments made by partner hospitals

  • Travel disruptions outside our control

  • Claim decisions made by an insurance provider

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

We are responsible for:

Maple Med Global is obliged to provide its coordination services with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these Terms of Use limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

11. Dispute Resolution

If the dispute is not resolved through direct discussion, the parties agree to participate in mediation in Ontario before commencing legal proceedings. The mediator is selected by agreement of the parties. The costs of mediation are shared equally between the parties.

This clause does not prevent either party from exercising its legal rights. If mediation does not produce a resolution within 60 days, either party may proceed to litigation.
